Quick preview of FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026
From 4 to 6 February 2026, Messe Berlin becomes the epicentre of the fresh produce world as FRUIT LOGISTICAonce again brings together the international fruit and vegetable industry for three days of business, innovation and trend-setting conversations. Reaffirming its position as the leading global trade fair for fresh produce, this year’s edition promises to be highly relevant for professionals, from growers and traders to technology providers, logistics experts and retailers.
A truly global gathering
With more than 2,500 exhibitors from around 90 countries, FRUIT LOGISTICA remains unmatched in the sector for international reach and diversity. Major producing and trading nations (including Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and France) will once again anchor the show floor, while participation from Asia, the Middle East and North Africa continues to expand. For three days, Berlin will come alive with the colours, freshness and ideas that drive the fresh produce industry forward, from established global players to emerging innovators seeking new partnerships and market opportunities.
Let’s grow!
The official theme for 2026, Let’s Grow!, acts as a rallying call for an industry focused on innovation, economic growth and collective progress. More than a slogan, it reflects the sector’s ambition as it navigates economic, technological and sustainability challenges together. This forward-looking vision is reinforced by FRUIT LOGISTICA’s research and insights initiatives, notably the Trend Report 2026, which highlights how AI and automation are already transforming key parts of the fresh produce value chain (from predictive logistics and automated quality control to future harvesting technologies). These are no longer distant “next big things”, but concrete drivers reshaping production, supply chains and retail forecasting.
Knowledge, networking and trends
Beyond the exhibition halls, FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 fully embraces its role as a knowledge platform through a dense and highly structured content programme. Around 200 speakers from business, research and operational practice will take the stage across six specialist areas, offering a continuous flow of conferences, expert talks, panels and case studies. Topics will include sustainable production models, carbon and water footprint management, AI applications in sorting and forecasting, automation in packing and logistics, digital traceability, global sourcing strategies, price volatility, geopolitical impacts on trade routes, and the future of cold chain management.
Dedicated formats such as innovation sessions, technology showcases, best-practice presentations and startup pitches allow visitors to move from theory to concrete solutions, with real-world use cases, operational feedback and scalable models. Sessions are simultaneously translated into several major languages, making the programme accessible to an international audience and reinforcing FRUIT LOGISTICA’s position as a true global knowledge hub.
My 20/CENT
FRUIT LOGISTICA is not just a meeting place. It is where you can discover new origins, new varieties, new packaging formats, new processing solutions and new sustainability tools, while suppliers use the event to secure listings, develop private label partnerships and open new export markets. The show also offers an opportunity to benchmark positioning, pricing structures, quality standards and sustainability commitments on a global scale..
Fresh produce is one of the few retail categories where innovation is not limited to technology or logistics but touches the very heart of the store experience. It is a true destination category: it drives footfall, sets the tone of the store, builds trust, and embodies values such as freshness, health, quality and proximity. Its visual power (colours, abundance, seasonal rhythms) makes it a natural driver of in-store activation and customer perception.
At the same time, sustainability in fresh produce is no longer just a narrative. It is increasingly measurable, trackable and operational, with concrete tools, data models and technological applications (especially in AI, traceability and resource optimisation) that can already be deployed across production, logistics and retail.
What I also value deeply in the show is the quality of its content ecosystem: seminars, conferences and knowledge formats are practical, grounded and directly applicable to real business challenges.
All of this makes FRUIT LOGISTICA much more than a trade show. It is a strategic observatory of where the fresh produce category is heading and a reference point that deserves to be rediscovered by retailers, brands and ecosystem players alike.
