interpack is back after six years

The countdown is on. In a few days, interpack will open its doors in Dusseldorf for the first time in six years. The event will be the meeting point for the packaging industry and many of its related processes. Six years sounds like a long time, but despite the long hiatus (of course due to covid), the event never lost its status as one of the unmissable events of the industry and many players and professionals definitely looks forward to it.

What to expect? A genuine offer reflecting the industry trends

The entire exhibition area of Dusseldorf Messe is fully booked. So, all 18 halls will present various machines, technologies and innovations for different industries such as food, beverages, confectionery, bakery products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods.

Looking at the program and exhibitors, we can already outline a few of the major trends of the industry. Basically, the offer of interpack will reflect the transformation of today’s packaging world from circular economy to digitalisation. In brief, here are a few of the major themes:

  • circular economy: recycling, upcycling, use less and re-use more are only a few of the aspects included in the theme of circularity.
  • digital technologies: Big data, augmented reality and remote machine maintenance
  • product safety

Concretely, the exhibition will of course orchestrate all these different themes and topics around several areas and events. Visitors can expect a startup area, a varied conference program, and also different highlighted routes over the exhibition floor.

The Director of interpackThomas Dohse is obviously looking forward to the event and insists on the transformation of the industry: “We are readyAll our exhibitors and partners are ready to go and we look forward to providing the industry with another great trade fairWe notice very clearly the great determination of the industry to actively shape this transformation process.
