Quick look at ANUGA 2021
It’s the restart for trade events and one of the biggest one is coming up. Anuga will take place in Cologne from the 9th to the 13th of October 2021. As I mentioned in previous posts, it is a certainty that the show will take place and the Koelnmesse next to attracting a serious number of international exhibitors has put a series of measures to make sure everything takes place safely. But that is obviously expected actually. What is in fact totally new and worth mentioning is that this year’s Anuga will be both live and digital.
A gathering in Cologne with face-to-face meetings
Of course, the Koelnmesse will have the usual concept of Ten trade shows under one roof. The mission of the organiser is still to bring food professionals together and provide opportunities for them to network, meet, and do whatever they usually do on a trade event. On this aspect, nothing has changed. But there is more.
A highly performant online platform
As events entered the hybrid era, Anuga will offer for the first time a digital format with Anuga @home. And this my friends, is extremely interesting. You get to attend conferences, seminars, wherever you are. It works on your desktop or on your mobile device. So, when I mean wherever you are it truly means anywhere.
But very importantly, it also allows you to network. You get to connect with all who attend and all you need to do is basically click away. You search the profiles of visitors and exhibitors and you just need to send your requests. (Of course, they need to accept you, so you better have a good profile or offer). Because I attended recently DMEXCO@home, out of experience, I can tell you that the digital platform @home is very performant.
Whether you chose the actual visit to Cologne or the digital way, one thing you can be sure of is that this year’s Anuga will mark the restart of international trade events, and also definitely the new hybrid era allowing professionals efficient networking anywhere and anytime.
