SRE 2021 is coming up
Tradeshows are still alive in 2021 and here is another example. The Smart Retail Exhibition or SRE2021 is scheduled to take place in May in China. It will already be the 4th edition of the event focused on retail equipment and technologies.
On the agenda
This year, the show will continue with its Online Matchmaking Service, which has benefited buyers from 12 countries in 2020.
The exhibition scope will be segmented in the following areas:
- Smart Retail End-Used Equipment & Info Technology: Smart cash register, self-service cash register, POS, meal ordering machine, code scanner, electronic shelf label, RFID, self-service weighing station, biometric technology and etc.
- Smart Retail Service Systems: Smart store digital management solution, smart cashier system, big dataanalysis system, AI-based retail solutions, customer data analysis system, automatic delivery, …
- Unattended Retail Equipment: Micro market, vending machine, unmanned shelf, checkout-free technology, mobile payment system, …
- Smart Display & Supermarket Equipment: Smart display & showcase, EAS anti-theft system, ERP, CCTV, commercial lighting, commercial interior design, …
- New Retail Supply Chain Service: Perishable logistics and cold chain technology, delivery services and solutions, smart warehousing solution, retail inventory sharing…
There will also be the Smart Retail Industry Forum, which will explore how cutting-edge technologies like AI, 5G, block chain, and etc. are going to reshape global retail industry.
My 20/CENT on SRE
Last year, despite the pandemic and different postponements, SRE managed to eventually take place and attract 703 exhibitors, more than double the figure of 2019. And this year, the organizers are still very determined to make the show a success, as they confessed to me that they want the event to help businesses grab post-pandemic opportunities in the region’s smart retail market.
So, let’s hope the event continues to grow and marks the continuous tenacity of tradeshows.
