Bio c' Bon Belgium shops join the Sequoia brand
There is movement in organic retail. The 4 Bio c' Bon Belgique shops are joining Sequoia. This affiliation has already taken effect on 16 February 2021, but I had to wait a little while before I could inform you officially about this news.
In concrete terms, this means that Sequoia now operates 15 points of sale (between 350 and 700m2), of which eleven are in Brussels. In terms of ambition, the group aims to grow again this year. Indeed, the two companies have generated a turnover of €36M in 2020 and have a target of €38M in 2021.
For Hervé Comot, Administrateur of Sequoia, the move marks a strengthening of their leading position in Brussels: "As a reference brand in specialised organic products, we will be able to take advantage of this partnership to strengthen our presence in Brussels, make organic products accessible to as many people as possible and also benefit from synergies in logistics, information technology and purchasing".
A position shared by Mahaut Housieaux de Lesquen, Director of Bio c' Bon Belgique, who confirms: "Bio c' Bon Belgique is delighted to join forces with Sequoia to put down roots in Belgium and continue to make organic products accessible to the greatest number of people".
Of course, all the Brussels points of sale will be dressed in the Sequoia colours very soon.
As for those who might wonder about the proximity of shops in certain neighbourhoods, the group is confident. At Stockel, for example, the two points of sale will continue to coexist, while at the same time playing on the complementarity and strengths of each.
In short, this is a group that is growing stronger in Brussels.
