20CENT Style Baccio della luna

20CENT Style Baccio della luna

Today in 20/CENT Style, let’s talk about a Prosecco and more specifically about the Baccio della Luna. In fact, I've noticed that this bubble, which has been on the shelves for some time now, is now also available in a half-bottle format, which at the end of this year is very much in demand, and certainly with the small parties that await us.

Where does Baccio della luna come from?

Bacio della Luna is produced in the heart of the DOCG Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene area. The vineyards are located about 50 kilometres from Venice, in the province of Treviso, halfway between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the land where the Glera grape variety is king. Each hill has a different soil composition, so each grape gives the wine its own particular flavors and aromas.

As far as the processes are concerned, it should be noted that the vines are cultivated with respect for nature, in a sustainable way while rigorously controlling the production process.

A fine, elegant and harmonious bubble

The Bacio della Luna is made with 100% Glera. It has a brilliant straw yellow color with very slight green reflections. When you taste it, this Prosecco is very pleasant. It delivers fruity aromas (apple, peach) and will be perfect as an aperitif.

You can find the Baccio della Luna at Colruyt in two formats 37.5cl or 75cl at the respective prices of 4.99€ and 8.29€ (recommended retail price).

Would you like to try an Italian-style Brussels cocktail?

It is tradition at the end of the year, and during the holidays many people are going to rush and go for bubbles. Of course, we will listen to the authorities and not mix our bubbles. But frankly, why does the government insist? Since when did our ministers become sommeliers? Everybody knows that mixing bubbles can produce strange cocktails. However, there is still one cocktail to mix with a bubble, and that is the Half-en-half

Half-en-half is a typical Brussels cocktail whose history is said to have started in 1939 in the Cirio café in the city center. It is a mixture of half white wine and half sparkling wine.

So, let's be creative. I suggest you try this typical cocktail drink by turning it Italian style, using Baccio della Luna with a Masso Antico Fiano Appassito. It works very well and will give you a pleasant combination with fruity aromas.

Our authorities and ministers cannot deprive us of this little pleasure.

Enjoy the tasting!
