20CENT Style Ignacio Marin
Today, 20/CENT Style presents the Marin Garnacha Blanca, a wine only available on the retail shelves as an in/out at the end of the year. For those who do not know the term in/out, this means that the wine will only be available on the shelves temporarily (once the stock is gone, it’s gone).
A bit of history
It is a wine from Ignacio Marin. The founder created the winery in 1903 in Cariñena in the province of Zaragoza in Spain.
Located in the heart of the D.O. Cariñena (it is a recognised Denomination of Origin) at an average altitude of 600 metres, the vineyards are in the geographical area of influence of the Ebro Valley, a location where one finds the main Spanish Denominations of Origin. Specialists and experts consider that the elements of the region guarantee a good ripening of the grapes thanks to the loose and rather stony soil, the Mediterranean climate, the wide thermal variation between day and night, the healthy ventilation and the abundance of sunshine. All the grape varieties are cultivated according to quality specifications. A reasoned and ecological agriculture has been set up in the respect of nature.
The Marin Garnacha Blanca
And from this vineyard I present you the Marin Garnacha Blanca. For its creators, the wine is the story of a shipwrecked man with no goal, but who does not lose hope, and who finally finds his way back and forces his destiny. This straw-yellow white wine, made from 100% Garnacha Blanca, is supposed to tell the story and represent the philosophy and know-how of the vineyard.
In tasting, this white wine is quite enjoyable. This bottle will go very well with risotto or fish dishes. The wine has beautiful floral notes and a nice length in the mouth.
And, if you wish to taste this wine, as I told you earlier, it will only be available temporarily at Carrefour at the end of the year at a selling price of 6.99€ (Recommended retail price).
