SIAL 2014, already noted in my agenda for a long time

The next edition of SIAL will take place in Paris from 19 to 23 October. This year again, a visit is worthwhile and this for three main reasons.

Firstly, the trade fair celebrate it’s 50th anniversary. And as for every edition, SIAL wishes to be a global meeting point for the food industry, and an observatory for new products.

On top of being a jubilee, this year’s edition is breaking many records when it comes to participants : over 6000 exhibitors are expected, as well as 150.000 visitors, coming from over 200 countries. For the first time, the organiser needs to put exhibitors on a waiting list.

Finally, the scale of this year’s SIAL is bigger than ever. The totality of Villepinte’s area is used. Furthermore, the fair integrates new sectors such as Equipment, Technologies, Services, showing visitors all aspects from factory to marketing of products.

An international panel of professionals

About 2 visitors out of 3 are internationals, and 200 countries are represented. Half of the visitors are retail professionals. The rest are from the food industry, catering facilities and services.
