Taiwan welcomes a platform for the food industry with Food Taipei

From 24th till 27th of June, the Taipei World Trade Centre welcomes FOOD TAIPEI. The event is organized by TAITRA, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. The fair is a platform for the food industry and presents a variety of products including ready-to-eat food items, Taiwanese products, raw materials, processed and semi-processed products (e.g. indigenous Taiwanese tea, sub-tropical fruit, fish…), vegetarian food…
Next to the Taipei International Food Show, visitors will find under the same roof other fairs coinciding Foodtech & Pharmatech Taipei, Taipei Pack, Taiwan Horeca and Halal Taiwan.
Professionals are welcome for the entire duration of the show, the last day (the 27th of June), the public is also allowed in the exhibition centre.
The event is international when you look at the statistics of visitors and exhibitors for the past year.
In 2014 Food Taipei had 1,020 exhibitors
- 592 local exhibitors, fromTaiwan
- 428 foreign exhibitors from other countries and regions: Taiwan, USA, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Canada, Central America (Panama, Belize, Nicaragua, EI Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala), FTA Countries, Spain, Belgium, Chile, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Brazil, Malaysia, Fiji, Peru, Argentina, Hungary, Dominica, Slovakia, Philippine, Mexico, Austria, Colombia, Vietnam, Swaziland, Macedonia, Croatia, Greece and China
- With the other tradeshows (so FOOD TAIPEI with Foodtech & Pharmatech Taipei, Taipei Pack, Taiwan Horeca and Halal Taiwan), the event gathered 1561 exhibitors.
On just four days, 65.551 visitors came to explore the shows.

- 7425 foreign visitors coming from mainly Asia (China, Japan, Hong-Kong, Malaysia, Singapore…) and the rest of the world (Mainly USA…)
So here again, a tradeshow with interesting numbers, and who seems to be perfectly designed for companies wishing to develop their business in the region.
