The finalists of the Seafood Prix d'Elite 2015 
are known

Yearly the fairs Seafood Expo Global and Seafood Processing take place in Brussels. The event is also the opportunity for many companies to participate to the Seafood Prix d’Elite and get some international exposure.

 

The concept Seafood Prix d’Elite

This year marks already the 15th edition of the contest. The award distinguishes the best and most innovative new seafood products entering the market. An award is given to the Best New Retail Product and to the Best New Foodservice Product. In addition, five special awards will be handed out for originality, convenience, health and nutrition, retail packaging and seafood product line.

From the 90 candidates, the jury kept 37 finalists coming from 11 different countries.

Allow me to boast for my country and point out that out of the 37 selected products, approximately one fifth is coming out of Belgium. Well done to the three selected manufacturers: Vichiunai Europe NV (with 2 selected products), Salm Invest (with 1 selected product) and Marine Harvest (with 5 selected products).

A dedicated space for the Seafood Prix d’Elite is of course foreseen on the exhibition space (Hall 11, Stand n° 2501). The winners will be announced on Aril 21st 2015 during a ceremony at the Auditorium 2000 of Brussels Expo.
