With VinoVision in 2017, Paris gets a worthy wine event
The group Comexposium and professional wine organizations have joined forces to create VinoVision Paris, a trade fair dedicated to the northern wines. The associations involved are among others the Associations of Wines of the Loire Valley, Centre-Loire, Burgundy and the Syndicat Général des Vignerons de Champagne.
Renaud Hamaide, General Director of Comexposium group had this to say: "A great professional wine fair has been long awaited in Paris. We are very pleased that the wine-regional organizations have called upon us to operate it. VinoVision Paris will draw on the expertise of Comexposium in this dynamic segment. "
This new trade fair is a good move if you ask me. Indeed, global warming does have some worrying effects. But it does bring some advantages for the winemakers all over the world. Vines expand their presence more north. New nations could therefore develop an offer such as, for example Belgium, Germany, China...
But for its first edition, the show will focus on French wines mainly from the North of the Loire. So Belgians, Germans and others will have to wait a next edition (2018?) to be present as an exhibitor.
The organization of the trade fair aims to attract around 650 exhibitors and hopes to fill 15 000m2 of exhibiting area. In terms of visitors, around 10,000 specialists are expected (import/export, CHR, wine shops and specialty stores, supermarkets and e-commerce).
Vinovision Paris from 12th till 14th of February 2017, Porte de Versailles, Paris, France
