SIAL Paris is still focusing on innovation
SIAL Paris 16th till 20th of October
A traditional Belgian presence
Every two years, Belgian journalists and influencers always get a visit by someone from SIAL to preview and showcase what to expect at the upcoming event of Paris. And it’s logical as Belgium is in the top 10 of exhibitors, and the top 10 of visitors of the event.
The SIAL Network is doing fine
As a reminder, the event SIAL Paris saw over the years an entire grid of satellites launched all over the world with Canada, Brazil, Abu Dhabi, Philipines, Indonesia and China joining what is now called SIAL Network.
For Nelly Baron, Promotion and Communications Director of SIAL Group, the network is still strong and that is thanks to its focus on innovation: “All the SIAL events are existing to showcase and represent food innovation”.
Mrs Baron also gave us a couple of indicators concerning the good health of the different events with for example: Manila knowing a two-digit growth, Jakarta experiencing a huge demand in Halal products (even bigger than for SIAL Middle East), and Paris at the moment of the Press conference being already practically fully booked.

So what can you expect in Paris this year? Well many of the classics will be repeated with of course:
- SIAL Innovation,
- SIAL TV,
- la Cuisine by SIAL with contests between chefs and school participating,
- the World Tour
- the Wine and Food Lab
- the Consumer Goods Forum
- and SIAL Off for those who also want to have fun and discover the city outside the trade fair hours.

A little coincidence in the calendar this year has to be noted. The opening day of SIAL Paris this year is falling on the same day as the World Food Day.
No surprise for 20/CENT
For those who know me and those who visit these pages regularly, it is not a surprise if I tell you that SIAL Paris is already in my agenda. Mid-October I never miss the biannual colossal event and unless a meteorite strikes, I will be present this year again.
It’s an event for networking, to discover new trends, new products and new business partners…so I can’t think of a reason not to go for food professionals.
