The final report on World of Food Beijing powered by Anuga is out

The event World of Food Beijing lasted for three days from 18th till 20th of November 2015, and also saw three parallel events: the China International Dairy Expo 2015, the 12th  Sweets & Snacks China, and the China International Catering & Food Expo 2015 (Autumn Edition).

The organizers are quite pleased of the partnership with the China Cuisine Association. Around one thousand of its representatives came to attend different committee meetings.

The Business-matching sessions also seem to have reached their purpose. A bit more than 120 buyer representatives met with over 200 international exhibitors for active negotiations over two days.

The debut of the Chinese Cuisine World Championship was the main highlight this year. This competition is the only international level competition in the world for Chinese cuisine certified by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). A total of 16 teams participated (Italy, Malaysia, Nepal, the United States, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau). The champion this year was the team from Hong-Kong.

Belgium was represented at the show and one of the participants was quite happy if we read his comments. Frederik Vandermersch, Product Manager Dairy at Flanders' Agricultural Marketing Board declared: “World of Food Beijing has really been a great experience for the Belgian dairy sector. The fair was organized in a very professional way and offered a broad program of extra activities. We chose this fair to introduce our new campaign 'White Gold' on the Asian market, to focus on the high quality Belgian dairy products, which Chinese attendees really expect. We got helpful support of the organization by setting up a press meeting at our booth. All the efforts had success: our suppliers were very busy dealing with possible buyers. The contacts were of a high value and we will certainly continue our activities in China.
